Members do not like to reply here.

One of the members here told me that people over here do not like to reply.  He told me not to get discouraged.

I just randomly took the first page of one section at any one time.  The following were the results.

也許對討論的事不感興趣，或者別人回應的內容跟自己想說的相同!不過如果是英文的，回應的可能就更少!----因為看不太懂。

這是絕大部份網站的通病
相對於很多數月不更新的站點來說
四合院未算是最差的了
不是不想熱鬧一點
而是如果因為分數利益跑阿跑
又好像失了四合院的原意
一連數十個「推」之類也不是我想見
大家來這裡是消閒的
還是放鬆一點較好

坦白說
英文的確有點影響

女人可愛起來是超級可愛～
但討厭起來也是超級討厭～

要增加回覆率就得定更多的規則
例如
每回覆一篇可以得到5點
每閱讀1篇扣1點
這樣每個會員每讀5篇一定要回一篇

另外要提升回覆品質與字數
可以增加最低字數
加上現行的人工加分制
應該可以讓純灌水回覆降低

非正體中文部份
可以增加獎勵制度
例如有人貼了一篇英文或是廣東話
第一個翻譯成正體中文來回覆的人可以得到分數
翻的越好分數越多
如果翻譯後還加上自己的想法與意見
可以得到更多分

以上是我一點想法

嗯～通常「英文」…是不太看的，來輕鬆的嘛…
加上，用「英文」來聯想情境，弟弟就軟了…所以避之為恐不及囉～
再者，季節與心情囉～
季節，應該是春、秋二季回覆最佳。因為「發春」了，以及秋天是食慾的季節
飽、暖就思淫慾了囉～
心情，有人悶時、有人高興時、有人神人一筆時，有人放開心時囉～

你可知道有些會員的水評
回二三十帖也拿不到一分
看一帖就少一分
基於系統自動加分會引致大量灌水不會考慮
恐怕不久之後不要說回文
連看文的人也跑光

You have some good points here.  I do agree.  However, it would still be nice if members here would reply to what they have read. It would give the writer encouragement.

I have talked to members about English to Chinese conversion program here.  Some of them say that I should not expect very good results.

Well, I will just do my part in giving my share of contribution.  That is continuing writing in English.

Dear Raider,
I'm not a frequent "replier" as my chinese typing is terribly slow. I've been learning now and I start typing replies to the authors/stories that I like to show my credit to them.
Unlike browsing other forum-like website, I usually read most of the replies here in 四合院. The only reason is most of the replies here make sense.
Like 最長笨象 says, I have seen 2 pages full of "Support" and "Push"(from author or others). Although the reply/view ratio is much high, there is no point reading those.
I came to 四合院 a lot because i like the clean environment here. I hope you will like it more when you come here more often~
And regarding to English-Chinese conversion..... forget it, its not worth the time.

encourage reader to post and respond is important, giving point for translator is a good idea as it is positive and allow other people who does not read English can enjoy what some English writer post here. They live outside a Chinese only community and their experience and encounter are interesting too. Especially the western sex culture.

However, keep a relax atmosphere so people come and enjoy is important too. Deduct marks will not work.

Raider, please also understand if there is a lot of reader for an article, that posting is also successful as it get the attention of many. People read it because they are interested in what you write, but people only respond when they have something to say about it.

Dear Reider,
I do like your articles although I seldom replied you here. I am not good at English but your writting is easy for me to read. That is problly because your article is well organized. I would like to say you are a good story teller. Again, I enjoy your stories, especially those talking about your wife being taken advantage of. I also expect to see your wife's fantancies in the near future.

Thank you everyone, I will do my very best to deliver some good stories. In the past, I tried not to use 'big' words so that more people can understand what I wrote. I will continue doing so.

I am taking my friend’s advice not to reveal too much of my personal life. However, telling stories about my wife’s fantasies should not be a problem.

I reviewed some of the North American Swinger sites and found that not too many people responded to posting either. Some of the sites' respondency rates were even much worse than here.

One of the reasons why I enjoy this site is that members are not pushy like the guys in the swinger sites.

我建議RAIDER 兄，應該習慣使用簡單一點的英語。雖然我們習慣天天使用英語的人，看來更方便，但是，很多人也不習慣。。。因為有時寫中文，看得更為開心！

我的中文，也是使用軟件才能打出來的。

雖然只看到得幾個回覆會讓人很洩氣, 但當你看到100個回覆,
但有九十多個是沒有意思的回覆時, 我想會更讓人洩氣,
而且那幾個好的回覆也可能沒有機會給人看到.

所以這裏回覆數少, 但每一個都很好看.
在其他網站, 我真的連一個回覆都不看.
因為全都是"推", "好", "正點"....
